Melissa Solorzano

Melissa Solorzano is a licensed creative arts therapist and graphic designer. She studied art and graphic design at the Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester, NY and received her Master of Arts degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University in 2002.

She has a musical background with training in a variety of instruments, including the piano and more recently the harp. She has always enjoyed the arts, from oil painting to dancing the tango.

Her social consciousness and care for others led her to study art therapy. Since then she has worked with a variety of populations including, cancer survivors, geriatrics and the chronically mentally ill.
